Hi! I’m Kaylee!
I am a Physician Assistant, Health Consultant, wife, and mom
I received my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University (Whoop!), and my Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University. I am married to my supportive high school sweetheart (together 12 years!), and a first-time mom to my son.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking/laying/playing outside, eating good food, working out,
learning, and traveling!
I have never had regular menstrual cycles, from the time I got my very first period. I started hormonal birth control not too long after that, being told it would fix me (spoiler alert, it did not). Not only did hormonal birth control mask my symptoms of PCOS, it also threw me into episodes of undiagnosed depression and anxiety for years. I had no idea my birth control was the cause of it, either.
When I finally learned about how birth control was negatively affecting my health, I got off of it and learned how to naturally prevent pregnancy and track my cycles. Then came the PCOS symptoms- irregular cycles, cystic acne, and facial hair. When I was diagnosed, I was told that I would need prescription medication to help regulate my blood sugar and may need medicine to help me conceive one day.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and manage things with lifestyle changes. It took years of work to uncover the many root causes of my PCOS, but I was able to heal and fell pregnant shortly before it even came time to “try”, which was an incredible surprise.
This woke me up to the realization that there are thousands of other women out there that need help. We are tired of being tired- and ready to heal our metabolic dysfunction.
I am so passionate about helping women optimize their health with a root-cause approach, so they can live an energized, nourished, and happy life. Come join me, I’m ready to help you heal!
